Make the clinic readable from the road: what it treats, when it is open and where it is, in English and in Marathi.

The mark and cards

A figure whose back is a spine

The figure reaches up and forward; its back is a column of vertebrae, from a speck at the neck to the widest at the base. White on clinic blue for the card front, grey as a watermark on the back.

The back carries what a patient needs: qualifications, registration number, timings and the New Panvel address, in a slab serif and in navy.

The main board

What the clinic treats, readable from the road

The board lists conditions by group (ortho, sports injuries, neurological, post-op, paediatric and geriatric) around two treatment photographs. Timings and the doctor sit across the top, the address along a navy base. It was built at full print size, then scaled.

Every board has a Marathi version, and the entrance boards carry both scripts, so the clinic reads the same to everyone on the street.

Over the door, and along the road

The list

Six groups, the same everywhere

The same six groups, with the same round icons, run on every board, the wall and the posts, so a patient who has read one has read them all. Post-op rehab, women’s health and general fitness ride along in a line of their own.

Around the clinic

The same parts, indoors

The treatment-room wall was an empty frame in the clinic’s file. We drew it, then a prescription pad, a home-exercise sheet and three posts. Each is made of the boards’ parts: the grey figure off the edge, the dashed timings box, the round icons and the navy base.
